The Diagon Alley card set includes a new card type and new cards representing characters in the Harry Potter novels. These have special rules for play.

Location Cards

Location cards represent different places in Harry's world. You'll find Location cards for each different Lesson type. To play a Location card, you need the required amount of Power and you use up to 1 of your Actions. When you play a Location card, it stays on the table. Since you can be in only one place at a time, only one Location card can be in play at a time. When you play a Location card, check to see if you or your opponent already has a Location in play. If there is one, discard the old Location from play.

Repeated Character Cards

In both the Quidditch Cup and Diagon Alley card sets, you'll find different versions of some of your favourite Characters. The uniqueness rule applies to all versions of a Character, even if the card has a different name. For example, in the base set there's a card called Harry Potter; in the Quidditch Cup set there's a card called Harry the Seeker; and in the Diagon Alley set there's a card called The Famous Harry Potter. All these cards count as Harry Potter. If any one of them is in play, neither you nor your opponent can play another Harry, no matter what the name on the card is.
