Warner Home Video (WHV) announced today the launch of a worldwide online "owl prowl" at www.owlsightings.com that will bring Harry Potter fans across the globe together in celebration of the DVD and VHS release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. By registering at www.owlsightings.com , fans can compete in seven different languages (French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, German, Portuguese and English) to test their Harry Potter movie knowledge, leading them to hidden owls throughout the World Wide Web and giving them a chance to be in the next movie, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, which opens in theaters this November!

One very lucky grand prize winner will be flown to England and will join the cast and crew to film a walk-on role in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Plus, nine lucky first prize winners and their families will win a trip to London and be among the first to see the second Harry Potter film. The game winners will be announced on May 28.

Entering the "Owl Prowl" Game and Sweepstakes

Owls are mysteriously appearing and Harry Potter fans can now join the quest to find them - and reap the rewards! From May 8 through May 25 (7:59 PM GMT), participants around the world can take part in "owl prowls" through various Websites such as Cartoon Network, Yahooligans, Neopets and Nickelodeon and globally on AOL Germany, Cartoon Network in Japan and Yahoo in England. These sites will lead players to register on www.owlsightings.com where they will be assigned an "Owl Prowler" name and receive a virtual game board with questions about the movie. Each day, five Harry Potter-themed questions will test the player's knowledge of the movie. Challengers will receive a new game board daily to collectively catch up to 85 owls, with a chance to win instant prizes throughout the 17-day game. Players around the world can connect using bulletin boards on www.harrypotter.com to help each other with the owl challenges while competing to become the "Top Owl Prowler" on the worldwide scoreboard.

Each day, players must use their "owl intellect" to answer one question in order to be entered for a chance to win the grand prize. Players also have the chance to win one of the thousands (1,000 instant prizes daily) of instant-win prizes including a variety of Harry Potter merchandise.
